Colour Categories - Outlook 2007 |
Categories have been around in Outlook for a long time now, and I find them really useful for grouping related Contacts, Email and appointments. Using a new feature in Office 2007 you can now colour code your categories and assign the Category to a shortcut key. Using the shortcut key you can assign the colour coded category to many Outlook objects. |

Creating a new colour Category
Right-click any Email message or Contact and choose Categorize and then choose All Categories. Either rename an existing category or choose New to create a new category. If you choose New, type the name of the Category and choose the related colour. You can also select a Shortcut key in this screen which can be a very handy thing to do. |
