Introduction
From Word 2002 onwards it is now easy to create a folded booklet that will print landscape with text on each side of the page. There are two steps to this: creating the booklet and printing the booklet. |

To create the booklet
In Word start with a new blank document, choose File, Page Setup and then the Margins tab. In the Multiple Pages list, select Book fold. If your document was not already set to Landscape, Word sets it to Landscape. Select any other options you need, i.e. Margins and then choose OK. Type out your booklet or copy and paste text in from another document. You will notice that you are working with small A5 size page. |

Printing the booklet
If you have a duplex printer, (a printer that prints on both sides of the paper) printing the booklet could not the simpler, just choose File Print, click Properties and then choose the Options you want. If you aren't using a duplex printer, in the Print dialog box, select the Manual duplex check box. Word will print all of the pages that appear on one side of the paper, and then prompt you to turn the stack over and feed the pages again. This feature works well and is brilliant - try it! |
