Printing Watermarks Including a printed watermark on a document can easily help identify the documents status. Confidential and Draft are two very popular watermarks. Word 2002 now has a great new feature that makes creating watermarks very easy to do! |

Choose Text Watermark and then choose or enter the text that you want. Choose any other options you want, for example, colour and layout, and then choose Apply and Close. If you are using Print Layout view you should see the watermark on the screen. If you can't see it don't worry, this may be because the default colour of light grey is difficult to see on your monitor. Just run a test print and it will be there. |

Picture watermarks
To add a picture as a watermark go back through the instructions below and after choosing, Format, Background and then Printed Watermark, choose Picture Watermark and then click the Browse button and choose a picture to use. If you can't see the picture, or it is too faint when it prints, go back to the Printed Watermark dialog box and switch off the Washout check box.
