Introduction
We have all received email with a PowerPoint presentation attached. When you double-click the attachment the presentation runs and then returns you directly to the message. You don't have to start and close PowerPoint yourself. It is so easy to do this, read on..... |

A PowerPoint presentation automatically has a file extension of .PPT To run a Presentation from email all you have to do is change the file extension to .PPS. You can do this by renaming the file yourself or alternatively you can save it again in PowerPoint. |

To do this through PowerPoint open your presentation onto the screen and choose Save As.. from the File menu. Click the down arrow after the "Save as Type" box and choose PowerPoint Show (*.pps) from the list and choose OK. You can now email your presentation and it will run directly from the message. To be able to see the presentation users will either need PowerPoint installed on their computer or they can download the PowerPoint viewer from the Microsoft website. Click here for information on downloading the PowerPoint viewer from Microsoft |
